   Angela Nisi is an operatic lyric soprano, born in Brindisi/Italy; she regularly performs also symphonic and chamber repertoire.

She's the winner of several international voice competitions among which: 1st prize and engagements at “Ottavio Ziino” Competition (Rome 2012); 1st prize at the “F. Provenzale” international baroque competition in Naples in 2006; other prizes and engagements at "Marcello Giordani" (Catania 2013).
Angela made her debut at Bassano del Grappa Festival as MICAELA/Carmen in 2010, where she also sang LUCIA/Lucia di Lammermoor and DONNA ANNA/Don Giovanni; then she sang at Teatro Regio in Torino (Valtinoni's PINOCCHIO), Teatro Bellini in Catania (OSCAR/Un ballo in maschera), at Varna Summer Festival (VIOLETTA/La Traviata), at Teatro San Carlo in Naples (CARMINA BURANA, directed by Shen Wei), at Reate Festival (GIULIETTA/Un giorno di regno), at Aalto-Theater in Essen (MUSETTA/La bohème and VIOLETTA/La Traviata), at Macedonian Opera in Skopje and International Festival in Bangkok (DONNA ANNA/Don Giovanni and MUSETTA/La bohème), at Teatro Verdi in Firenze (MICAELA/Carmen).
   In 2013 and 2014 she was chosen by Antonio Pappano for Rossini’s PETITE MESSE SOLENNELLE at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
   In 2015 she made her debut at Teatro Lirico in Cagliari (Fauré's REQUIEM), at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari (Rota's MYSTERIUM), in Sao Paulo and Manaus in Brasil; in Pisa at the Anima Mundi International Festival. She was KRISTINA in the world's première of Tutino's Le Braci at the Martina Franca Festival della Valle d'Itria and at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, with a lot of success; at Teatro Verdi in Trieste (DIE SCHOEPFUNG under the baton of Gianluigi Gelmetti).
   In 2016 she sang NORINA/Don Pasquale at Opéra de Rennes and again VIOLETTA/La Traviata at Opéra de Toulon; EUFELIA/Paisiello's La grotta di Trofonio in Martina Franca (Festival della Valle d’Itria); HELENA/Britten's A Midsummer’s Nights dream in Cremona and on tour in Como, Pavia, Brescia and Reggio Emilia (As.Li.Co.).
   Recently, she performed at Teatro Lirico in Cagliari (REQUIEM by Mozart, PRINCIPESSA/Respighi's La bella dormente, LIU/Turandot); at Teatro dell'Opera in Rome (Beethoven's EGMONT), at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (MUSETTA/La Bohème); at Teatro dell'Aquila in Fermo (ADINA/L’Elisir d’amore); at Donizetti Festival in Bergamo (ROSINA/Mayr's Che originali!; GABRIEL-EVA/La Creazione by Haydn conducted by Rovaris and directed by Micheli); at Teatro Bellini in Catania (LISETTE/La Rondine); in Bari, Taranto and Fondazione Toscanini in Parma (PETITE MESSE SOLENNELLE conducted by Gelmetti); at Teatro Verdi in Firenze (STABAT MATER by Rossini conducted by Gelmetti). Angela Nisi made her debut in MIMI'/La bohème at Teatro Politeama in Lecce and Brindisi and she sang LIÙ/Turandot at Teatro Sociale in Rovigo.
​   Angela graduated with honors in singing at Monopoli Conservatory/Italy, then she studied with Margaret Baker, Manuela Custer, Cristina Melis. She also has a Master on Solistic Repertoire with Orchestra (Monopoli) and attended the School of Acting at the Teatro Stabile in Turin directed by Davide Livermore and at the Santa Cecilia Opera Studio in Rome with Renata Scotto. She studied with honors Musicology at Rome Tor Vergata University.
   Angela Nisi worked with important conductors such as Jordi Bernacer, Giampaolo Bisanti, Aldo Ceccato, Francesco Ivan Ciampa, Francesco Cilluffo, José Cura, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Francesco Lanzillotta, Antonio Pappano, Donato Renzetti, Giuseppe Sabbatini, Daniel Smith; and directors such as Alfonso Antoniozzi, Hennig Brockhaus, Davide Livermore, Francesco Micheli, Leo Muscato, Stefano Poda.
